What would our week be like without Sunday?

Sunday has to be the best day of the week. Without Sunday, i know that my week would be horrible. Today, i decided to go to my Uncle's church, Five Mile Primitive Baptist Church, which is about 40 minutes south of Tuscaloosa. It was a nice fast drive considering i was running late. I forgot to set my alarm to a different time. Anyways i get there about 10:50. I was in time to sing a little before the preaching portion of the service. Well it is time for preaching service and my uncle asks me to introduce services, and for the record i was not prepared at all. Considering the fact that we should always be prepared to answer when the Lord calls on us to do something, i quickly thought about the subject of "prayer." I turned to the fourth chapter of the book of James, and i began reading till about the 4th or 5th verse. As i spoke on prayer, i was praying that the Lord just get me through this..............I am used to introducing services back home on occasion, but i did not expect to have to speak away from home. However, my dad told me that he learned the same way. From now on, it doesnt matter where i am at, i will be prepared. It was definitely something that the Lord blessed me to do today. In saying that, he blessed me this morning, and i hope he continues to bless me this week. I pray that he will bless the ones who get the chance to read this. For we know that he is as bright as the morning star, and i pray that he will be our light each and every day. What would our week be like without Sunday?

Wow, now that I think about it,I couldn't imagine my week without Sunday! I'm so glad that God gave us churches and preachers so that we could get away from the world at least one day a week.

Right on, Bro. God is my rock in this shaky, crazy world. And, I couldn't imagine a week without Sunday, and seeing all of my closest, dearest friends - my brothers and sisters in Christ. Ya'll sustain me and keep me going.

Emily mentioned "Sweet Hour of Prayer." I'll mention "From Every Stormy Wind", which we sang this morning at ZRPB.

"There is a scene where spirits blend, Where friend holds fellowship with friend, Tho' sundered far, by faith they meet Around one common mercy seat."

I will add to all those great comments and use my song that I think of:

Mercy Seat:

"From every stormy wind that blows,
From every swelling tide of woes,
There is a calm, a sure retreat.
Tis found beneath the mercy seat."

Gotta love Sundays!
