Thoughts

Do you ever sit and think? Not about anything particular but in general. Wondering where you are headed or what lifes road will bring you next. Do you ever feel that time has stopped and you are standing still, never to go anywhere again? Or, do yo feel that time is passing by so quickly that you are growing up too fast. I think about Solomon in Ecclesiastes:

2
Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.
3
What profit hath a man of all his labor which he taketh under the sun?
4
One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever.
5
The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose.
6
The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits.
7
All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full: unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
8
All things are full of labor; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.
9
The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.
10
Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us.
11
There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.

If you end up reading the entire book of Ecclesiastes you begin to understand that there is a time for everything. The fruit of our labor is not in vain but for our Lord, and he is a God of mercy, compassion...... God blesses us in our labor for him.

Are you ever scared to try new things? When i say new things i mean Godly things. One definition of insanity is: repeating the same task over and over again expecting different results.
I recently had a conversation with a friend who is not sure what he should do with his extra free time. You can kinda see where the conversation went. You must try new things to become diverse. A little diverstiy is good for your mind. If you were blessed to be very diverse with many talents, it all came from your Lord.

Once again these are just thoughts.....all scatered over a huge list.

Have you ever met a girl that you were nervous to talk to? Did you approach her or keep sittin in the bullpin? Did you enter the game and begin pitching? Whether you strike em out or walk, does it matter? Is it how you play the game? Is it Godly? Are you bringing all of your thoughts unto the obedience of God. 2 Cor. 10:5? You should be....

These are just a few thoughts. I have plenty more. Maybe when some people reply to this, i can share a few more.

2 Riddles for you.......

1. Mountains will crumble and temples will fall, and no man can survive its endless call. What is it?

2. You walk up to a mountain that has two paths. One leads to the other side of the mountain, and the other will get you lost forever. Two twins know the path that leads to the other side. You can ask them only one question. Except! One lies and one tells the truth, and you don't know which is which. So, What do you ask?

Guess at my Riddle.....

Until I am measured, I am not known. Yet how you miss me, When I have flown.

If this is too easy I will get a harder one.

I am glad to know that so many people care about me!!!!!

Hello all! Well, i dont know what to say to all of the comments but i guess i need to be truthful. I havent been down in Honduras weaving baskets, nor the Carribean, or any other place. Though all of those places sound great compared to the actual places i have been. Lately i have been living at Gorgas Library here at the University of Alabama. All of my classes have been so demanding of my time that i havent had time to think about posting at all. I had three test last week, and this week i have two, with a follow up test next tuesday before Thanksgiving. For all of you that are considering engineering as a possible major, think really hard before doing so. You will come to a point in your studying that you will have to make one of two choices. Are you going to give in to the professors who tell you to quit? Or are you going to beat them and decide that you are going to get the degree no matter the cost? I chose the second one. The cost is a lot of time and effort that one must put into their studies. Alabama has had four football games over the semester. I have been to four so far and the last game against Auburn is this Saturday. I am selling my ticket once again to be at Zion's Rest meeting. I will also be preparing for my final test on Tuesday in Calculus 3. So life is all about choices. There will be a time when one must choose between things they want to do, and things they need to do in order to achieve the things they really want in life. I do believe that it is Robert Frost who wrote the poem "The Road Not Taken." It states, "Two roads diverge in a yellow wood, I took the one less traveled by, and it has made all the difference." If you can understand the situation i have been in, then you can understand why i havent posted like i should. I dont use the internet as much these days. I use it for email, facebook, and research. I dont have time for many other things. If you cant tell by reading this, i could use all of your prayers. Mechanical Engineering is the second hardest degree to earn from the University of Alabama. Doing so is not easy when i have been sick. My days are long and hard. My first class starts at 8 and my last class ends at 5. Then i find time to eat, and then go to the Library to study. I usually dont finish studying till 12 or sometimes 2 a.m. So prayers are appreciated. haha. Other than that i have been having fun with friends when i get a break. Also, i have been introducing services for a while at church and finding time to study properly (yes, there is a proper way to study scripture...... hahaha). My dad who also made it through Mechanical Engineering always has some encouraging words to get me back on track. Well i dont know what else to say other than Thanks for your concern. I havent died yet. Knock on wood, prayer of thanks to God. I really appreciate each and every one of you. I have about four and a half weeks left in school till i am back at work with Alabama Power starting Janurary 4th after Christmas break. I look forward to the break from school. Well, back to studying. I am at the library now, taking a break from studying to answer the many questions. I love you all. God Bless.
